At GamesGrid, we strive to bring nations together in friendship through games. In the spirit of international peace and understanding, GamesGrid is running the Hands Across the World 2 Tournament sponsored by Fonbet Bookmakers www.fonbet.com.

We’re looking for Team Captains to organize your teams and represent YOUR country! Support international understanding; take a stand for world peace.

If you are interested, send e-mail to or look for HANDS on GamesGrid. Begin recruiting a team for the competition. Teams are comprised of 5 players. Entry is $100 per team. Team captains will decide the entry fee and prize distribution for each member of their team only. More than one team can be formed per country.

All GamesGrid tournaments are played under GamesGrid General Internet Backgammon Rules. Please read them for more detailed rules of tournament play.

Additional rules for this tournament:

  • All participants must be backgammon members of GamesGrid and in good standing to participate in this tournament.
  • All prizes will be paid to the winners’ E-jackpots accounts. If you do not already have an E-Jackpots account, complete a Terms & Conditions form. You will receive an e-mail with additional information on using an E-jackpots account.
  • Each team will have five players.
  • A team captain must be chosen for each team. All correspondence will occur with the team captain. It is the responsibility of the team captains to communicate with their players.
  • Each player will be numbered 1-5 and will keep that number throughout the entire competition.
  • Each team will be named. For example: Team Greece, Team France and Team Greece 2.
  • If your team loses a member during the competition, any replacement player must be confirmed by the prior to participation. Only the team captain may replace a player.
  • If a player drops out and is not replaced, the opposing team will receive a point for the match not played.
  • The tournament will begin as soon as all team spots are filled.
  • Each match will be a 7-point match and must be played within 5 days once each round is posted. The deadline for each round will be included in the posting. An entire team will be paired against another team for each round.
  • GamesGrid Messages should be used for all communication between players, and HANDS should be copied on all correspondence. If a match is not played, the player who attempted communication and copied the user HANDS will be awarded the point.
  • Each team will receive 1 point for each winning match. Maximum number of points per round will be 5.
  • Each team member will play one match per round until the semifinal rounds.
  • The actual match scores will have no bearing on the points received each round.

The winner of each match must report their win to . The e-mail must include your name and team name, and your opponent's name and team name, or you will not receive credit for the win.
