How to master Backgammon and make money

Once you have mastered the basics of backgammon, you will soon discover that it’s not about how lucky you are with your dice rolls. Backgammon is an easy game to learn but takes time to master. And what makes it a hit in the online community is that even a beginner can beat a pro! Yet, much like poker, backgammon is considered a game of skill and the finalists in offline tournaments each year are generally the same set of pro players from the previous year.

So how do you become an expert player? This section is aimed at the intermediate player and is designed to improve your skills. It won’t make you an expert overnight as there’s a fair bit of study needed to start mastering the game and there’s no substitute for buying a couple of good backgammon books. Once you do make progress, however, it is possible to make real money on Worldgammon, consistently winning more games than you lose. It beats working for a living!
